WELCOME TO MY PODCAST!

Hello guys,

Today I want to talk about my podcast. The topic I chose for this podcast is about plastics. We all use plastics in our daily lives and I want you to hear my point of view about its effects. That’s why I tried to give you some tips through my podcast. It was a little bit of stressful work to do because of the time limit but I feel really happy about sharing some really good information with you. Plus, you can’t get bored because it is only one minute long!

I would love to give a similar task to my students in the future because, not only the task is educational but also it makes you to think critically and analyze the information and speak with your own words. There are many beneficial sides of this work for the students such as; conducting them to search, read and share their opinion freely. Unfortunately there might be a few disadvantages of this task too because this work requires electronical devices and internet but a student might not have them at their house. As teachers, we have to consider such situations before giving the task to our students and make sure that everyone has the same opportunity.

21th Century Learning

The contribution of the advancement in technology to education is a fact. We are globalizing as we are digitalizing. Access to the information is now much easier thanks to search engines such as Google. At the same time, blogs and social media applications allowed communication between people who are far from each other thus talking and sharing knowledge became very easy and practical.

The common usage of technology in language learning; made the permanence of the learned knowledge possible by attracting the student with visual and auditory materials. Thanks to online education, which is one of the biggest benefit of 21st-century education, the desired language can be learned and reinforced by this method from foreign teachers. As searching and thinking critically are encouraged, competition increases, so qualified people are raised for the future. At the same time, many new jobs have emerged.

To sum up, the 21st century and technology are intertwined with each other, and we strongly feel this bond in education. However, it is us teachers' duty to get the maximum efficiency from these innovations and to give them to our students.
